First Federal Express Entry Draw 2020 invited 3,400 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence


                                                
Canada is all set to welcome millions of new permanent residents through its various immigration programs during the new decade.
Federal Express Entry Program is one of the most popular Canadian immigration programs that manage the applications of foreign skilled workers under three immigration programs – Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
Canada has a target to admit a total of 85,800 new admissions through the three federal high-skilled programs this year, which is further slated to rise to 88,800 in 2021.
Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), a portion of which is also managed by the Express Entry system, is another major pathway to obtain Canadian permanent residence. The target for new admissions through PNPs is set to rise to 67,800 in 2020 and 71,300 in 2021.
The candidates, who received invites in January 8 draw, now have 60 days to submit their complete application for Canadian permanent residence to IRCC.

I RCC has now invited 63,400 Express Entry candidates to apply for PR in 2019 Canada issues 3600  invitations to apply  (ITAs)  for permanent residence to express entry candidates in a new draw held on Wednesday, September 18. The minimum  Comprehensive Ranking System  (CRS)  score set in this invitation round was 462 – a reduction of one point than the previous draw held on September 4, which had a cut-off score of 463. The September 18 invitation round also brings the total number of invitations issued this year by IRCC to  63,400 . IRCC had issued 58,600 invitations by this same point in 2018, a year that hold the current ITA record of 89,800.
