CRS cut off score rises to 475 in October 30 invitation round In the latest invitation round through Canada’s Express Entry system , a total of 3900 candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 475 or higher received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence. The October 30 th  draw brings the total number of invitations issued by Government of Canada to Express Entry candidates so far this year to 71,700. However, this number puts the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) 2,500 behind last year’s pace- a year that issued a record 89,800 ITAs. Canada’s high admissions targets for the three immigration programs managed by Express Entry system are set at 81,400 for 2019 and 85,800 for 2020, which means it could still surpass this record by the end of the year. In the recent provincial draw held on October 10, the province of Manitoba issued a total of 193 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs ) to immigration candidates to apply for their provincial nomination program for the Canadian permanent residence. These invitations were issued to only those candidates who have their profiles already registered under Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, or International Education Stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) . October 10 draw brings the total number of LAAs issued by the MPNP so far in 2019 to 6,574 to promising immigration aspirants in these three pathways. The  Comprehensive Ranking System  (CRS)  cut-off threshold in this invitation round was 464, which is two points higher than the minimum score in the previous draw held on September 18. The October 2 invitation round was the largest since January. The last time IRCC invited 3,900 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence was on January 23, 2019. The September 18 invitation round also brings the total number of invitations issued this year by IRCC to  63,400 . IRCC had issued 58,600 invitations by this same point in 2018, a year that hold the current ITA record of 89,800. The admissions target for 2019 is set at 81,400 new permanent residents – an increase of 6,500 admissions over 2018’s target of 74,900. A total of 122 invitations were issued in the latest PEI draw, which brings the total number of invitations issued by the PrinceEdward Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) to candidates in both the Express Entry and Labour Market Impact categories since the start of 2019 to 1,031. Of the total 122 invitations, 109 invitations went to the candidates under PEI PNP’s Express Entry and Labour Impact categories. Express Entry candidates were the focus of the latest draw held by the Canadian province of Alberta on August 28 in which it issued a total of 294 invitations to candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 400.
